Terms and Conditions

When you attend an event, we feel that we are welcoming a new friend into the Test Kitchen. However, we do have terms and conditions we must abide by, and we ask our guests to do the same.

These are the terms of enrolment on an event at Justine Pattison. They constitute a legally binding contract between you, the student, any Guarantor set out in the enrolment form and Justine Pattison.

We accept bookings on a first come first served basis. Payment should be made in full at the time of booking. Justine Pattison is unable to take provisional bookings for courses or to confirm a place on a course until we have received payment in full.

Justine Pattison Event vouchers must be used within 12 months of the date of issue.

There is no cash alternative or refund for vouchers, but in the case of price changes of courses specifically booked, the voucher price will be honoured.

We reserve the right to make amendments to the content of any of our courses.  In the unlikely event that we cancel a course, we will give you as much notice as we reasonably can and will offer you a full refund or a place on an alternative course.

We regret that we cannot refund any payment for a course that you are unable to attend.  If you inform us that you are unable to attend a course at least 14 days before it is due to start, we will transfer your booking to another equivalent course.

Hiring the Kitchen Studio:

Payments must have been made in full before using the Kitchen Studio.

The person hiring must ensure that the Kitchen Studio is returned to the state it was found. Any damages must be paid for by the person hiring the Kitchen Studio.

We reserve the right to refuse hire of the Kitchen Studio or make any amendments to the conditions of hire.

The additional service of Food Stylist or any other additional services on the day are all at extra cost and must be booked separately before the date of hire.

My latest book – PING! – is published today.

It’s a collection of over 100 energy-saving, family-friendly recipes cooked using just a microwave oven.

It’s a bit of departure from my recent books, but one I hope you'll find useful – and perhaps intriguing too. There's something fascinating about cooking in the microwave and, even though I’ve been using them for many years, I was surprised by the huge variety of different - and very delicious - dishes that could be cooked successfully using microwave power alone. Everything from easy curries and 'casseroles', to lasagne, barbecue-style chicken, spicy rice, banoffee pie, sticky toffee pudding, rich chocolate brownie and lemon drizzle cake!

If you do fancy taking a peak at Ping!, you can find it in your local bookshop, online and via the link in my bio.

Taken from my slow cooker book, this one makes four really generous servings or six smaller portions. It freezes very well and can be used for a lasagne, pasta bake or base for veggie cottage pie. Perfect if you like to go meat-free or simply fancy a change.
