indian cooking course

Indian food is the most popular ethnic cuisine in the UK but few of us know how to prepare it at home. For this course Justine has invited a celebrated TV cook and writer to teach a hands-on session, incorporating all the essentials and designed to get you cooking like a pro. She has been teaching and demonstrating Indian Cookery for the past 15 years and has fine-tuned her lessons to guarantee you get the best from your time with her.

You will be welcomed with tea or coffee and home-made Indian sweets before being guided through the flavours and aromas of a variety of Indian spices and herbs – shown how to use them correctly, blending to achieve the best, most flavoursome results (and it’s not all about heat!). She will then introduce some fabulous fresh ingredients and explain how they to make the most of them and where you can find them. You will then learn how to cook eight utterly delicious and authentic dishes to share at the end of the course, or take home.

Recipes include:

  • Mango and lime Puris
  • Mixed vegetable and green chilli pakora
  • Butterfly King Prawns with coriander crust
  • Chicken Tikka Pasanda
  • Goan Lamb Bhuna
  • Royal Pilau Rice
  • Taka dhal with Cumin and Curry Leaves
  •  Bombay Aloo Dosa

There are a maximum of 6 guests invited to join this course, so you will have plenty of opportunity to cook, eat and ask questions. At the end of the day, you will be given a free, bespoke recipe pack containing all the tips and information you need to recreate the dishes at home.
