The Kitchen Studio makes the perfect location to hire for any book shoot or food video and is a great place to welcome friends or clients for food themed events and training. It boasts:

  • A fully equipped studio kitchen
  • Fantastic location for stills or video shoots
  • Proximity to road and rail links

Our kitchen studio is the perfect out-of-town location for any cookery shoot, or for advertising and packaging photography. The kitchen is fully equipped and features a central island with a five burner gas hob that can be moved around the space or placed in front of the reclaimed brick wall. There are two electric fan ovens and a Smeg fridge with easy access while filming, plus another enormous commercial corner fridge for cold storage.

The location lends itself well as both a photogenic film set and as an event venue. The Kitchen Studio has bi-folding doors which let in plenty of natural light and open onto a gorgeous kitchen garden which can also be used for filming. You will also find a double drawer dishwasher, two sinks and a huge array of cooking utensils and kitchen equipment.

The Kitchen Studio is the ideal place to host cooking classes and supper clubs, as well as being suitable for filming and photo shoots.

The stunning location in the Hertfordshire countryside makes for a quiet and serene atmosphere, yet it is well connected by rail to Harpenden or St Albans. The studio is also within walking distance of a lovely country pub and parking is available on site.

Food styling and home economy services are also available.

It’s a collection of over 100 energy-saving, family-friendly recipes cooked using just a microwave oven.

It’s a bit of departure from my recent books, but one I hope you'll find useful – and perhaps intriguing too. There's something fascinating about cooking in the microwave and, even though I’ve been using them for many years, I was surprised by the huge variety of different - and very delicious - dishes that could be cooked successfully using microwave power alone. Everything from easy curries and 'casseroles', to lasagne, barbecue-style chicken, spicy rice, banoffee pie, sticky toffee pudding, rich chocolate brownie and lemon drizzle cake!

If you do fancy taking a peak at Ping!, you can find it in your local bookshop, online and via the link in my bio.

Taken from my slow cooker book, this one makes four really generous servings or six smaller portions. It freezes very well and can be used for a lasagne, pasta bake or base for veggie cottage pie. Perfect if you like to go meat-free or simply fancy a change.
